The largely moderate Hezbollah who are actually fighting alongside Assad against the rebels (radical jihadists), have been bombed by Israel. Hezbollah actually defend Christian places of worship and seem largely to be a force for good in the region.
Israel carried out the bombing on the “military site” near Damascus airport allegedly to “prevent Iran smuggling weapons to Hezbollah.”
The Israeli military failed to comment on the strike, not even claiming responsibility for a while.
The BBC reported: “there was a lot of talk about Russia and Syria strengthening their air defences and the likely implications of this for Israel… Would it hamper the Israeli Air Force’s freedom of action in the skies over Syria, where it has been conducting an intermittent air campaign to prevent sophisticated weapons transfers to the Lebanese Shia militia group Hezbollah.”
In true Orwellian double speak, the BBC mourns over a loss of “freedom” for Israel to bomb another sovereign state. Attributing the reason to stopping Hezbollah from receiving weapons, how noble!
We at Intel Huxley believe this has more to do with overthrowing the strong leadership of Assad, preferring ISIS and other assorted rebels were in charge. In short, provoking war.
Stay tuned for updates.
