In the latest batch of roll-backs it looks like Trump is softening his stance on the “big, beautiful wall” that was held up as a carrot to “woo and subdue the dissident right” (see: The False Song of Populism).
Please read this article, where Trump states so-called “dreamers” should rest easy. It should have been no surprise that Trump would soften his stance on a border wall.
Trump tweeted this today, to console and further dupe his die-hard followers:
Don’t let the fake media tell you that I have changed my position on the WALL. It will get built and help stop drugs, human trafficking etc.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 25, 2017
Senator Lindsay Graham had this to say: “Border walls and fences are part of an overall plan, but there will never be a 2,200-mile wall built. Period, I think [the wall] has become symbolic for better border security. So it’s a code word for better border security.”
Trump told a group of reporters on Monday that he would be open to get funding for the wall in September, when congress debates the 2018 budget. This is a complete reversal of what has been stated previously.
If Donald Trump delays the building of the wall until 2018, I think it looks very unlikely the wall will ever be built at all. The interim between now and then will probably be a gradual reframing from a physical wall to a more metaphorical analogy.
Several Republican senators urged the President to make the switch for this budget… So any increase in border security funding would be viewed as a success. Trump and handlers probably decided this was a little early, better to fight the staged fight for a little while longer before pulling the rug out.
(UPDATE: Trump has dropped his funding demand for the wall. The White House is confident it will avoid shut down after Trump has shown such great “flexibility”. Note; it is important for Trump to give the illusion of putting up a fight and struggling against internal opposition, this is all part of the charade.)
At this point Trump fan boys will continue with; “Trump is being manipulated, Trump is fighting off a globalist coup, it’s all Kushner’s fault!” This is an almost unbeatable strategy. Simply absolving Trump of all wrong doing, instantly.
It is clear however that this is no coup, it is clear that Kushner and Trump get on extremely well; and see eye to eye. It is also clear that Trump has filled his government with the people he has, because he sympathises with those people’s views… Or you could say; because he is one of them.
To conclude, it is our analysis that Trump is a globalist puppet, much like the rest of the manufactured populist “revolt”. Thus, now Trump has seized power he will start enacting globalist foreign policy, like bombing Syria and overthrowing the North Korean regime, while subtly going back on campaign promises.
